What is Ramen Ichiran’s “Oskaran Sourness”? What does it taste like?

Foods

I love Ramen Ichiran, but every time I see a store photo on Google Maps or a ticket vending machine, I’m always curious about the sour taste of Oskaran.

It was 130 yen anyway, so I decided to give it a try.

The unique name “Oskaran” expresses the fact that it is Ichiran’s original sour seasoning with a unique flavor.

・The combination with umami is well-balanced, so you can enjoy it even if you don’t like acidity.

・A magical topping that allows you to enjoy Ichiran’s ramen twice in one bowl.

・Seasoning that allows you to enjoy changing the taste of tonkotsu soup

I see, it’s a seasoning that changes the taste in a nice way.

Let’s try it.

Food report

The star of this article is the small vessel in the upper right corner.

For me, it’s a standard topping of green onion, pork belly, and boiled egg.

It contains a decent amount.

I also tried just tasting the aroma, but it was so sour that I almost coughed.

It’s a seasoning, or rather, it smells so strong that it looks like it’s been expired for a year.

For now, it’s just a taste. Try pouring a little bit into the soup scooped into a spoon.

Just before I put it in my mouth, I felt a very pungent odor. It’s like undiluted vinegar.

It smells like the concentration of Kobae Hoi Hoi has been increased several times over, and it smells so powerfully medicinal that I think it’s actually past its expiration date in years.

In the end, I didn’t like the drastic change in taste, so I decided to pour in the entire amount when I was practically at the last cup.

It was just tonkotsu ramen, but now it’s something completely different.

It’s nice and refreshing, and for some reason, it’s easy to eat with chopsticks.

Even though I would normally leave the soup behind, I was able to continue drinking the soup without getting bored or having an upset stomach.

The soup’s richness and sourness go well together.

You can enjoy it as something completely different than tonkotsu ramen.

My overall impression is that I won’t be repeating this.

This is because it changes the taste of the original tonkotsu soup into something completely different.

If I were to pay 130 yen for this, I would like to add green onions and seaweed
