Ichiran is a unique ramen restaurant where you can eat in a separate space for each seat.
But did you know that Ramen Ichiran also has a cup ramen version?
Now that I know it exists, I have no choice but to try it. I bought some and started cooking!
Cooking method
Cooking instructions are written on the side of the main unit.
The following is written:
~ How to cook ichiran’s cup ramen~
1.Open the lid up to the arrow and remove the three small bags (A, B, C).
2.Pour about 430ml of boiling water up to the inside line and close the lid.
3.Heat the liquid soup (B) on the lid and wait 4 minutes.
4. After 4 minutes, add powdered soup (A) → liquid soup (B) and mix.
5. Add the secret sauce (C)
Note: The secret sauce is spicy, so please be careful if you don’t like spicy foods.
Ichiran’s cup ramen 504kcal . seems to have
So let’s make it. First, remove all bags.
Add about 430ml of hot water up to the inner line.
Heat the red bag on top of the lid and wait for about 4 minutes.
After 4 minutes have passed, put the brown bag in A first.
Next, put the white bag B. And stir.
Finally, open the red bag.
Finished.
How was it?
When I followed the recipe exactly, it didn’t taste like the one I was used to.
The noodles were too soft. They tasted like cheap cup ramen.
I usually order Ichiran’s hardest noodles, so 4 minutes seemed too long for me.
The soup was also too mild. There was too much water. Again, I had requested the strongest flavor, so it seemed too thin.
There was no problem if you add all the spicy soup.
However, once you eat it for a while, the richness of the tonkotsu and just the right amount of spiciness from the chili peppers start to sink in.
But without that richness, it wouldn’t be like Ichiran.
My recommended cooking method
My only complaints are the 4 minute wait time and the 400ml amount of hot water.
Both should be reduced .
Start with a reduced amount of hot water and open the package in less than 2 minutes.
You should add hot water and wait until the noodles soften before eating.
